We will be hosting meeting for all Parade participants and Hall of Fame exhibitors providing important instructions and divsion line-up assignment on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 at 11 a.m.

The meeting is being held at the Burello Center located in Garfield Park.  Plan NOW to attend this very important meeting of instructions as we celebrate the Spirit of Indianapolis.

In 1957, Claude B. Kendall, owner of the Key West Shrimp House had a vision to bring families to the greater south side of Indianapolis to enjoy fine dining, great entertainment and an evening in the amphitheater at Garfield Park. Through his leadership and partnership with the Madison Avenue Businessmen Association the "Miracle Mile Parade" was formed.

Today, some 50 years later, the founding members of the Gateway Community Alliance join forces with both the private and public sectors on a journey to re-discover the Miracle Mile Parade on Saturday, August 30, 2008. There are 7 divisions with 15 entries each. Only 105 entries will be selected by the Parade Committee. Send entry request to the "Miracle Mile Parade", 3205 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Entry deadline for consideration is August 8, 2008.
